Occasionally I ask myself why the fascists are so obsessed with trans people and especially trans women. One theory:
Most of them seem to have a mindset that men are superior and maybe even purer. They are perfect, and women are… less. But if some “man” “decide” that they are a woman this is the first crack in this mindset because if they say and really are the thing that is of less value this conflicts with the superiority and being perfect.
The second point is, if they would “become” women they are immediately the most threatening kind of women in their mindset. Women that own their body, that change their body in ways they want and not what men want. Women not taught to be silent from an early age. Women that couldn’t be moved out of their way by pregnancy. Women that maybe are in places they don’t want a woman to be. They are everything they fear in strong women, cis or trans alike.
But that’s also true the other way round. “Women” “deciding” to be men are the same threat as trans women. Because they decide that they own their body and may form it in ways that aren’t meant to please these men. Perhaps they even threaten them the same way as trans women in their superior feeling of being absolutely heterosexual. On the other side, maybe they are slightly less of a target because for these men it is obvious that everyone wants to be like them, but in their mindset they can’t reach their state of superiority, and if they would allow them to be the same that would be a threat to the purity thing. So it’s easier to say they are “just confused.”
And non-binary people, they are threatening on an other level because they are a threat to the whole power system that is based on only two, a superior and a lesser gender.
And trans people are a perfect target, they are an even smaller minority than the homosexuals. They are perfect to point at and scream they are the threat mostly cis men are in reality. They are perfect to spin a plot that these are actually men that want to take something from the cis woman. But that’s too actually something mostly cis man do. And it works because everyone is already threatened by these cis men, and they know how bad men could be. And that’s why they still insist that trans women are men.
That’s the same reason why they hate trans men. In their mindset, they lose their innocence by becoming what they learned to fear.
It’s an incredibly ugly twist that is made up by men who feel threatened not only because they lose control they were never meant to have. But because they are also afraid of each other, and make everyone afraid of them. They know how ugly reality really is!
So don’t be part of this mindset; don’t take part in this ugly game. Don’t be afraid of trans people. Do something about the real threat!
